About Dr. Moore
Sovana Moore, MD, joined Women’s Health Specialists, PLLC, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in 2004 and has thoroughly enjoyed providing care for women in Rutherford county. An experienced OB/GYN, she places great value on developing strong relationships with her patients as they navigate through life’s celebrations and challenges.
Her goal is to make patients feel comfortable and provide them with the information they need to make informed decisions about their health care. Her mission is to provide the highest quality patient care in a caring environment. Safety and attention to detail are very important in her practice. Dr. Moore’s practice includes all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, with specific interests in vaginal hysterectomy and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Moore graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in molecular biology and chemistry and then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She was one of a few students selected to enter medical school through Vanderbilt’s prestigious early acceptance program. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital, one of the top OB/GYN programs in the country, and served as chief resident in her fourth year.
She is married and has three children who were all delivered by her partners at Women’s Health Specialists. She loves spending time with her family, attending church, seeking out new restaurants in the Middle Tennessee area, and running.
