Cynthia Wear was born in Evensville, Tennessee, a rural town in East Tennessee, but grew up in Northwest Georgia. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Georgia, where she marched in the Georgia Redcoat Marching Band. She then started her medical training at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. The mountains called her back, and she matched in the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, TN. During residency, she served on the Patient Safety Committee, the Lactation Counsel, and was given an award for Excellence in Patient Advocacy prior to graduation.
She is skilled in all areas of OB/GYN. She is pleased to offer the newest technology with in-office procedures, gynecologic surgeries including hysterectomies, da Vincirobotic hysterectomies, and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Wear and her family are enjoying their new life in Murfreesboro. She, her husband, and two children enjoy spending time outdoors, trying restaurants and recipes, and playing with her Boston Terrier, Tucker.
