Hysteroscopy is a way to look inside the uterus. A hysteroscope is a thin, telescope-like device that is inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. It may help a physician diagnose or treat a uterine problem.

Laparoscopy is a procedure using a small telescope inserted into the abdomen through a small incision that brings light into the abdomen so the doctor can see inside. Laparoscopy can be useful in diagnosing and treating many gynecologic problems.

Pelvic Prolapse is when an organ becomes displaced, or slips down in the body. Women affected by pelvic prolapse sometimes refer to it as “dropped bladder”, “fallen uterus”, or "rectal bulge". These conditions are referred to by the medical profession as “cystocele”, “uterine prolapse” or “rectocele”.

Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a small object that is inserted through the cervix and placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. A small string hangs down from the IUD into the upper part of the vagina. The IUD is not noticeable during intercourse. IUDs can last 1-10 years. They work by changing the lining of the uterus and fallopian tubes affecting the movements of eggs and sperm and so that fertilization does not occur. IUDs are 99.2-99.9% effective as birth control. They do not protect against sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS.
